PROJECTS & RESOURCES

TEAM ELK
EMEC (Elk Meadow Enduring Connections) promotes a whole-person approach to support, recovery, wellness, and transformation. Physical activity and intentional exercise are evidence-based supports that benefit mental and physical health. Specific exercises have been found to be useful for both preventing, treating and recovering from dependence on substances like alcohol, tobacco, heroin & prescription opioids, cocaine, and meth.

PEER ELK
EMEC is partnering with community peer mentors and recovery coaches, who are dedicated to helping you move into awareness, agency and healing after living in an emotionally abusive relationship, struggling with a substance use disorder, or living with a mental health disorder. Each client is paired up with a peer who has similar life experiences, who can offer support and guidance from a space of compassion, patience, and lived knowledge.

ELK FAITH
EMEC believes that many clients seek faith-based practices that enable them to navigate the tumultuous waters of addiction and mental health recovery, with a renewed sense of determination and purpose. Integral to the fabric of our partners' faith-based approaches to addiction/mental health recovery and stability is the sense of community and support that they offer without judgment.

ELK ACADEMY
Counseling students, interns, graduates, ex-terns, supervisees, fellows - want to work with clients who are impacted by psychological, social, behavioral and emotional challenges in the daily business of living. EMEC wants to be a resource where we can connect students and others in need of supervision and hours with sites that needs clinicians but do not have the capacity to provide the supervision.
